This is a mini-project that I did for Antarctica Global, a software design and development company that works on solving major environmental problems identified as the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Check out their work on www.antarcticaglobal.com .

Challenge
To redesign the design fold under the How We Deliver page from a ****UI/UX perspective, while keeping true to the original design language of the website.

Problems Identified
- Only 4 out of 7 steps are visible on screen. The user has to navigate by clicking on the arrow buttons. This demands active involvement and thus, will be ignored by someone casually scrolling.
- Text is primarily used to describe each step, popping-up images upon hovering. Again, Users are forced to read to understand what it is and actively use the mouse. Not a likeable scenario for the users.
Proposed Solutions
- All 7 steps should be on screen at the same time, to allow users in a hurry, a quick glance.
- Mouse clicking should not be necessary. Users should be able to glance at the fold passively, while being rewarded for their active involvement.
- An image-first approach should be taken instead of text-first. This will allow users the freedom from reading and visually understanding the step. This will also allow us (AG) to make the text more detailed and informative, since users can skip over it if they want.
My Design
A timed transition (auto-animated) of 2 seconds is set for the consecutive screen, circling back to the first.
Upon hover, each of the 7 steps has a color change and slight size increase, timed at 0.1 s.
Clicking on any step transitions to the screen where that step is highlighted and elaborated.
The ‘Know more about design’ button changes color upon hover, just like on the website.
